Am I Qualified for a Study?

Am I Qualified for a Clinical Study?

Every clinical research study has specific eligibility criteria designed to keep participants safe and ensure accurate results. While requirements vary by study, many people qualify based on location, general health, and medical history.

If you’re unsure whether you qualify, we encourage you to explore available studies and connect with our team.

Location

Some studies require participants to live within a reasonable distance of one of our research sites so they can attend scheduled visits. We can accommodate travel (transportation, hotel, meals, etc.) if you meet the criteria for a study.

You may qualify if you:

  • Live near one of our NHRD research locations

  • Are able to travel to the site for study visits

  • Some studies may offer flexibility depending on visit frequency and study design.

Health and Medical History

Eligibility is based on factors such as age, health status, and current or past medical conditions. Some studies are designed for individuals with specific conditions, while others are open to generally healthy participants.

You may qualify if you:

  • Meet age requirements for a specific study

  • Have (or do not have) certain health conditions, depending on the study

  • Are able to share medical history and medication information

Availability and Commitment

Participation requires attending scheduled visits and following study guidelines.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Can attend required study visits

  • Are willing to follow study instructions

  • Can communicate with our team throughout the study

  • We’ll always explain time commitments upfront so you know what to expect.

Not Sure If You Qualify?

That’s completely normal. Many participants start by simply expressing interest. Our team will review your information, answer your questions, and let you know if a study may be a fit.
